REMOTE CONTROL | Radiolink T8S

STATUS: WORKING

A design of a printable case for the Radiolink T8S.

It uses seven of the eight channels for now, but the next update will feature an extra pushbutton as eighth channel.

It uses a few special features not found in the original and is meant for slow moving RCs like Trucks.

  • a multi turn 1080° potentiometer as steering wheel
  • one of the original joysticks as gear selector
  • half of one of the original joysticks as accelerator/break
The second half of the joysticks two channels is used for the multi turn pot.

The original remote uses bluetooth to set it up via an app, which works “ok”, at least in the iOS version.

Can be used with the original receiver if the shifter is not needed. For the shifter you would need an Arduino or some sort of microcontroller to read out the two channels and setup the five gears.

The attached design is fully working.

I will provide an updated version soon though with some minor tweaks.

Sadly you have to press one of the trim buttons when you want to connect to the app, so I will add that, and I will add a pushbutton as I found out my sound module has the possibility of a horn.
